Location and Directions

Brandeis University is located at 415 South Street, Waltham, MA 02453. THATCamp will be held at the Mandel Center for the Humanities. Signs will direct you to the building, and parking is available in the Tower lot adjacent to the building.

Brandeis is accessible by car and by public transportation (if you plan ahead). Please see the Brandeis University website for maps getting to campus and getting around campus.

If you will need a hotel room, please see the suggested lodgings on the Brandeis University website.

Area Restaurants

More than likely, a lot of people will go to dinner together on Saturday night. Moody Street, about a half mile from Brandeis, is the street with the most and best restaurants. Here are some suggested restaurants; there are quite a few others.

THATCamp in Brief

THATCamp New England is an unconference that brings together scholars working in the digital humanities. The 2011 meeting will be held at Brandeis University. The main unconference will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Several BootCamp sessions intended for digital humanities beginners will be held the Friday afternoon before, October 21.
