I teach African American History courses, specifically focused on civil rights, race and democracy, and movements for social justice. The time period that I focus on, from Reconstruction to the present, is relevant to the digital humanities in that it covers some extraordinary periods in American and world history toward the struggle for racial equality, equal citizenship, and democracy.
